About you: To support our growth, we’re looking for a Branded Concept Training Manager. The Branded Concept team exists to support Operations with a consistent approach to unique concepts, developed internally within the account. Our Training Development Manager takes ownership for the overall success of branded concept service excellence. This position will create training materials and processes to motivate team members to deliver exceptional service and experience within each brand.

The Global Branded Concept Training Development Manager is expected to build tools for mobilization stakeholders to develop organize, prepare for and facilitate or co-facilitate brand-specific training curriculum/modules for the teams responsible for operating branded cafes. This will include things like onboarding, ongoing education, hands-on mobilization support, branded concept program updates and audit materials. The Global Branded Concept Training Development will oversee ongoing existing branded cafe maintenance administrative and operational duties (menu signage fabrication coordination, allergen updates, risk mitigation, mobius setup, coordination of menu cycle refreshes with culinary/cafe team members). This position will also support the Branded Concept Operational Team in developing a pilot for a branded concept training program complete with brand-specific training centers for the Bay Area with opportunities to expand the pilot to other regions when necessary. This position would not only develop curriculum and training program for the training centers, but this person may initially be responsible for facilitating the first brand trainings at each training center working alongside brand chefs and mobilization teams. For the long term for new unit openings, this position will coordinate with regional mobilization teams to ensure that branded concept standards are adhered to.

This position reports into the Global Food & Beverage Concept Manager with a dotted line to the Global Learning & Development Business Partner. The role will be based in The San Francisco Bay Area or New York.

The great things you’ll do:

  • Motivate, train, and develop team members through the Branded Concept Training and Mobilization program.

  • Lead the creation and implementation of training and mobilization tools for the Bay Area pilot program and possibly other global regional brand training centers.

  • Teach and adhere to our philosophy, culture and commitment to quality food and exemplary service.

  • Liaise, communicate and collaborate effectively with teams to facilitate proper implementation of training programs, support mobilizations, and ongoing maintenance for branded cafes.

  • Attend and participate in necessary site, local, and regional meetings and trainings.

  • Treat everyone with professionalism, care and respect.

  • Have a passion for teaching, engaging with others, and exceeding service expectations while communicating the benefits of branded concepts.

  • Ensure that curriculum and trainings are engaging, timely and conducted with a safety first approach while inspiring passion for a particular brand(s).

  • Promote a culture of Food and Workplace Safety.

  • Responsible for the development of the tools needed to support a brand, including training and operating materials.

  • Works closely with Global Food and Beverage Concept Manager and REC of Branded Concepts to support program innovation, excellence and quality standards. May also work in conjunction with a Brand Chef (when applicable).

  • Maintain brand integrity while promoting coordinated and effective use of resources, swift execution of initiatives and consistent delivery of operations excellence.

  • Act as a brand champion and cheerleader to foster excitement about the branded concept approach and philosophies to help keep a consistent approach

What we look for in the perfect candidate:

  • Qualified leadership role (GM, Chef, Cafe Manager) with ample experience leading large format trainings and mobilizations

  • At least 5 years of direct management experience (staff management, budget management) or applicable experience in a similar volume, restaurant or food service operation.

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

  • Manages time effectively and prioritizes tasks to meet deadlines.
